Keum-Suk Gendry-Kim's adaptation of O Muel's 2012 movie of the same name about the South Korean state's repression and massacre of the people of Jeju Island from 1948 to 1950 in the name of the war against communism. The story follows a group of villagers trying to escape from the dictatorial military forces chasing them.
